I feel like you could benefit from using a higher resolution in your works. The fact that your lines appear all pixel-y is the only thing that bothers me about this drawing.

Though maybe it's because of NG's size restriction?

Template88 responds:

Nope thats actually due to a design decision for this particular collection. It has a distinct look to it that is what I was trying to go for because of a thing called Broquest. Look it up if you chance see this message.

What is this and why have I never seen any of it before? I love it.

What in the fuck is this skill.

Please tell me you've got a higher resolution version of this so I can zoom in infinitely and bask in the awesomeness.

I'm going to give two opinions here. The first, from a totally neutral artistic standpoint: this is great. The hair is very interesting, the shading is well done and it is quite realistic.

The second is from my personal point of view, because this is a character that I designed: the smile bothers me. It's not her smile, she likes to show much more teeth than that.

That's pretty damn good, However, I don't think the character's center of gravity reflects the weight that the ornaments on her back would bear, and I'm also wondering how she would bend her elbows, them being covered in a solid piece of metal armor and all.

The colors, lighting and background are all awesome, on the other hand. The lineart is impressive and the armor design is interesting.

You'll have to excuse me, I think a bit of my family's numerous engineers may have rubbed off on me, but I have a problem with the articulations on AL-1: they only allow for motion along a single axis, meaning she ( it? ) can only bend her legs and arms in one direction - forwards- and cannot rotate either from their set angle.

Art-wise, while I find your robot lacks a deadly edge ( everything's always got to be deadly with me apparently ) I still think it is interesting and I like the way you've gone and colored it.
Also, is that Tartaka I see in the background?

M-Maher responds:

Well this was an idea i had so its basically a concept as of now.

I could build on this idea and add more mechanical workings and construct it more as a machine, I was going for more of my original design philosophy of human joints being covered in Armour I guess its not the best thing to go for and I think I may want to revise my ideas and study robotics more to make it technically correct.

That is Tartaka you see, its just a quick nod in Aigis's direction.

When designing armor, it's important to keep in mind that the person wearing it has to be able to move. Here I'm looking at it, especially the shoulders and hips, and wondering if the person wearing this suit of armor would be able to fight in any way. Bending your arms forwards looks impossible.

The coloring, lighting and background, however, are all very nice.

Wouldn't the amputations mean she's not very good with that sword?

I kid, I kid.
It looks really nice, but aren't the cyborg legs a little short?

Paxilon responds:

Yeah, I think yer right (about her legs, not her weapon proficiency--I think shes one of them insane samurai types or something, buaha). I already flattened the image, though, so I can't fix D:
Gods, now this is bothering me X3
Thanks, man!

Love it, excellent job with the colors.
Her waist seems a little small though.

His torso looks a little small relative to his arms and legs, and his neck too small for superman.

industrialplayground responds:

Yeah it wasnt really meant to be fully proportionate that is were a lot ot the cartoony exageration comes in, if you notice the hands are also larger than they should be.
